PBIS Impact Challenge

At Valley View this year our PBIS team has promoted monthly staff challenges to connect with our students called the Impact Challenge.  The goal is to impact students lives by doing simple yet powerful actions to show them that we care.

In August we wrote post-cards to each student in the building welcoming them to a new school year.  The work of the teachers in hand writing these notes is a powerful message about their commitment to our school, students and families.

Our current reality is that we have given students recognition via our virtue vouchers 6:1 referral.  That is a great ratio of positive vs. negative.  I have said that the teachers in our school are simply amazing many times before but they get the power of positivity and it shows.
